Kathy's behind the scenes dish on Jeff’s new career and his visit to Scottsdale .

Jeff Bridges is Hollywood royalty and one of the most respected an well liked actors by his movie industry peers.  Even at 65, the actor most recognized for his classic Big Lebowski role, is one in high demand. But the guy with the bushy siver grey beard  who makes scruffy look sexy ,,, has been embarking on a country music career.

And he’s talented.  On tour, he's performing with his band the Abiders (yes, named for his Big Lebowski character’s personality to abide) Scottsdale was among their many stops.  In fact, Jeff and the Abiders were the first  performers to take the stage at the new Livewire swanky venue in Scottsdale.

And don’t forget Jeff won an ACADEMY AWARD for Best Actor for his portrayal of Bad Blake in Crazy Heart. He performed his own songs playing a down and out country music star who tries to turn his life around after beginning a relationship with a young journalist.

Jeff’s dream of being a country performer began with his roots when he was kid and his brother Beau Bridges taught him to play the guitar. The actor jammed with a band in his family’s garage at their California home. Now he’s touring, with lots of bookings around the country, with the Abiders, and talent he has been friendly with for years.

His fans lined up for tickets at Livewire, reflecting the demand to get to see Jeff sing and play the guitar.  The 14,000 sq. foot Livewire, open only for special events and concerts, is located in the heart of the entertainment district. The concert and performance space with state of the art technology is owned by Les and Diane Corieri (pictured above.)  It’s intimate setting with a bar and balcony bar type seating, was a great fit for Jeff and his fans.
