What better kind of Super Bowl party could someone get invited to, but one at the home of a Super Bowl star!  Yes, former NFL quarterback Jim McMahon threw a private Super Bowl bash at his magnificent north Scottsdale home. The exclusive and confidential guest list of the longtime Chicago Bears player boasted athletes, entertainers and musicians.

Trumping those Super Bowl post-game highlights on the big screen TVs throughout the party, was the classic sports scene in McMahon’s sprawling back yard. After the game, guests gathered around the  fire pit with Jim and his girlfriend Laurie Navon, for sing-alongs and smores.

The outdoor setting of this over 2-acre home with breathtaking views of the McDowell Mountains, lends itself to the lifestyle McMahon was seeking, (especially after living in Chicago for over 20 years.) There's also a gazebo at the luxurious abode fit for a Super Bowl king.

The 6,400 main home with 4 bedrooms and 5 baths, is on the market for $2.2 million. A bridge at the front door with a koi pond welcomes guests as they are enter the abode of natural stone and soaring wood beamed ceilings.

“You could not replace this home, situated on a lot over two acres with this amount of privacy in Scottsdale, for what it’s priced at today,” says Mark Marsillo of Realty Executives who has the listing on the NFL star’s home.  The soaring wood beamed cielings and natural stone create a magnificant living experience.

The open floor plan is inviting, with a large living room and dining room combination with a spacius eat in kitchen and island with a breakfast bar. There’s also a 1,000 sq. ft. separate guest house with its own kitchen and two car garage.

By the way, Jim McMahon says he really fell in love with the Scottsdale weather when he played for the Arizona Cardinals in 1994. So who will buy the home and give the next Super Bowl party in this home? Stay tuned.
