My husband is Thai food fanatic, so we recently grabbed a bite at Latitude Eight Thai Grill in Downtown Chandler. With neighbors like Urban Tea Loft and El Zocalo, this quaint area has become a great stop for food lovers–and Latitude Eight Thai Grill is yet another must-try.

The pad Thai at Latutide Eight was one of the tastiest I’ve has in the Valley, topped with chicken and shrimp. And my husband raved about the yellow curry, his Thai eatery staple. And, of course, we downed our food with a side of Thai iced tea (one of the few drinks I actually get cravings for). If the tea is a bit too sweet for you, there are also wines and Asian beers available.

What’s more is that Latitude Eight exudes a cool, modern feel, with glass-front windows, wall-length booths and eye-popping 3D wallpaper–a stark contrast from many of our favorite strip-mall Thai restaurants. So what are you waiting for? Jet to Latitude Eight Thai Grill for a cool new way to enjoy Thai in the Valley. 480.772.0560, www.latitude-eight.com.

  1. My husband and I went to this place when it first opened. The food was great, and the wine list compliments the food well – especially the Seghesio Zin. My only knock to the place is that it is not very kid friendly, which is almost a necessity for restauarants in the East Valley. There was another couple there with a kid (well-behaved even), but there was clearly nothing for a 5 year old to eat.

  2. Thanks Annie, that’s helpful info. You’re right, kid-friendly places are necessary in the East Valley. We have a pretty well-behaved kid but I don’t want the stink-eye from other diners!
