Isabella’s Kitchen Opens

We are a sucker for an amazing alfresco dining area, and the just-opened Isabella’s Kitchen, which is located at Scottsdale’s Grayhawk, offers one of the Valley’s best patios–and so much more. Isabella’s Kitchen dishes up “rustic, peasant-style cuisine that rests on simple recipes.” Using fresh, seasonal ingredients, the menu comprises homemade pizzas, pastas, salads, sandwiches, bruschetta, antipasti and more by Chef Logan Stephenson (pictured).
During Isabella’s Kitchen’s recent opening event, we were lucky enough to sample some of the restaurant’s tastiness–and get a load of the indoor and outdoor dining spaces. The potato pizza with roasted onion and burrata was a favorite–hearty and a perfect slice for the fall. The meatballs and from-scratch mac and cheese are great comfort-food picks.
The interior of the 4,400-sq.-ft. restaurant features a colorful marriage of old and new, with standouts being lovely wood floors, rusted-steel accents and a lovely chandelier made of wine bottles. One of the showpieces of Isabella’s is its signature Blue Bar which wraps around a corner of the building; it allows for both outdoor and indoor seating. Using roll-up garage doors, the dining room opens to the courtyard and exterior terraces to create an indoor/outdoor setting. Isabella’s Backyard Patio offers open-air and covered outdoor seating overlooking Grayhawk’s Talon course. Best of all, the patio is flecked with gorgeous fire pits.
The best seat in the house, though, is The Rooftop is above the Snack Shack (a food stop for golfers). The roof offers a 360-degree view of the Talon course and city lights. http://grayhawkgolf.com/isabellaskitchen/.
