Locals who love barbecue–heck, anyone who loves delicious food–are more than familiar with incredible eats at Bryan’s Black Mountain Barbecue in Cave Creek. From Chef Bryan Dooley’s incredible pulled pork and ribs to mouth-watering olive cole slaw (just one the restaurant’s many amazing sides), the menu offers timeless favorites and unique spins on traditional barbecue eats. Now, Chef Dooley, with the help of co-author Leslie V. Bay, has just unveiled his new cookbook, “Stories and Recipes from Bryan’s Black Mountain Barbecue.”
The 112-page soft-cover “Stories and Recipes from Bryan’s Black Mountain Barbecue”, which has been beautifully photographed by David B. Moore and designed by Lori Cowherd of The Orange Gourd, will give readers all of Dooley’s secrets to his success. Most importantly, though, the book has more than 48 recipes alongside interesting stories and tips that’ll help your ‘cue turn out as delicious as his. Plus, Dooley shows off his soft side as “Stories and Recipes from Bryan’s Black Mountain Barbecue” is filled with family photos, the chef’s favorite recipes and a look into how he traveled a road that lead him to where he is today, including his adventures at the Culinary Institute of America in New York and the starting of his popular Cave Creek restaurant.
“Stories and Recipes from Bryan’s Black Mountain Barbecue” is available at Bryan’s Black Mountain Barbecue for $21.95. (The cover depicts two of his loves–outside of cooking and his wife, Donna: a guitar and his Jeep.) www.bryansbarbecue.com.
