Give yourself one less thing to think about on Thanksgiving and pick up one of these divine pies before Turkey Day rolls around.
The Market by Jennifer’s is excited to announce they will be selling authentic, legendary Rock Springs Café pies, available for pre-order now through Dec. 23, with two-day notice. Cream pies are $23.50 each. Fruit pies are $20 each. Folks will be able to purchase Rock Springs Café’s Jack Daniels pecan, pumpkin and mixed berry crumb pies as well as a varied assortment of cream and fruit pies. All pies are freezable. Pies will be available for pick-up from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sundays. (Must pay for pie at time of purchase and/or at time of pre-order.) Fifty percent of the proceeds from all pie slices sold, during Thanksgiving week, will benefit St. Mary’s Food Bank.
Gigi’s Cupcakes, with Valleywide locations, is introducing two new holiday-inspired pies to add to its line of award-winning gourmet holiday cupcakes. The Ginger Snap Pumpkin Pie, available now through Thanksgiving, this fall treat features deliciously smooth pumpkin filling baked in Gigi’s own secret ginger snap crust recipe. The pie is topped with a festive collection of maple leaf cookies, sprinkled with sugar crystals and adorned with a dollop of Gigi’s renowned vanilla bean buttercream frosting. The Southern Comfort Pecan Pie is available now through Christmas. This pie is made with Gigi’s rich, whiskey-flavored filling and baked fresh in a hand-made pie crust, the pie is topped with a thick, crunchy layer of Georgia pecans.
Both Valley locations of Grassroots Kitchen & Tap (Phoenix and Scottsdale) are celebrating the season with a new $20 to-go whole-pie program featuring an ever-changing selection of fresh-baked pies served daily. Savor Grassroots’ signature, always-available key lime pie or an ever-changing Pie of the Day, from fall favorites such as apple, pecan, sweet potato, and pumpkin pies, to decadent coconut cream pies (the coconut cream pie won People’s Choice at the 2014 Pie Social in Downtown Phoenix earlier in the month). Have a special request? Call at least 48-hours ahead, and Grassroots’ chefs will try their best to create your perfect pie.
To-go dessert items at Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North’s Proof include Bourbon Pecan Pie, Caramel Turtle Cheesecake and Roasted Apple Lattice Pie. Pies are $25 (which are made in glass Pyrex dishes that can go straight from the restaurant to the table). Every order requires 48 hours advance notice.
