Blue Bell Events

Looking for ways to keep cool? Of course. Well, here is the best way to keep from overheating this month: ice cream. And lots of it. Blue Bell is hosting free scoop events in July to commemorate National Ice Cream Month and the release of its newest–and super summery flavor–Caramel Kettle Crunch. Here’s the scoop (ha!):
Popcorn & A Movie
Thursday, July 8 – MADCAP Theaters
730 South Mill Ave.,  Tempe
3:30 – 5:30 pm
Downtown Tempe’s MADCAP Theaters celebrate school-free days with a summer kids’ movie series. Now through mid-August, young ones and parents can escape the heat Wednesday through Friday while taking in one of their favorite kid flicks. On Thurs., July 8 Blue Bell will serve up “popcorn” before the movie in the form of Caramel Kettle Crunch. Open to public, this free event will take place inside the theater’s concessions before the 4 pm showing of “Shark Tale.” Movie tickets are available for only $2.
Moms Meet Up
Tuesday, July 13 – Bashas’ & Mom’s Like Me
4940 S. Gilbert Rd. (at Chandler Heights), Chandler
4 – 6 pm
Everyone is invited to stop by Bashas’ for an ice cream treat as the social networking group Mom’s Like Me and their little ones take the time to meet face to face. Blue Bell will be on hand to sample Caramel Kettle Crunch, demonstrate some kid-friendly ice cream recipes, and hand out coupons.
I Scream Social
Wednesday, July 21 – Busy Bodies Planned Play
19420 North 59th Ave., Glendale
4 – 6 pm
This West Valley educational planned play program draws eager infants and children, ages 4 months up to 5 years, to its vibrant facility to have fun while learning important skills. Children and parents are invited to tour the center and take a time out for some sweet fun during an ice cream social.
