This Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., The Lymphoma Research Foundation (LRF) presents The Kitchen & Tasting Tour, a self-driving tour of some unique Valley homes ranging in value from $800,000 to $9.75 million. Ticket holders will enjoy exclusive tours of seven unique homes in Paradise Valley and Arcadia and sample signature dishes prepared by Valley chefs and view beautiful tablescapes. Ticket-holders will also have the chance to ask questions of participating chefs, architects, builders and designers. All proceeds will support the Lymphoma Research Foundation’s mission to eradicate lymphoma and serve those touched by the disease. Celebrate National Chili Day with some Texas Red Chili from Phoenix’s TEXAZ Grill on Thursday, Feb. 27. Owner Steve Friedkin knows his chili; this is his 27th year as a judge at the annual chili cook-off in Terlingua, Texas. To celebrate, Friedkin is offering all you can eat chili for $7.50 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The heart of downtown Litchfield Park is the place to be Feb. 23 as Flavors of the West welcomes the culinary talents of 25-plus West Valley chefs and restaurateurs. In addition to great food and drinks, live bands will perform on the Main Stage, including the group led by Phoenix Children’s Hospital’s Dr. Greg White, Champagne Tap. Sub-Zero/Wolf and Westar Kitchen & Bath will host the cooking demonstration stage where area chefs can dish out cooking tips. For the tots, a large kid’s zone will be on-site. Proceeds from Flavors of the West benefit Phoenix Children’s Hospital Foundation and its new facility in Avondale as well as The Honey Foundation. Tickets are $45 or $100 for VIP passes. Through March 15, Osio Culinary Group’s Central Bistro in Phoenix and Local Bistro in North Scottsdale are offering decadent desserts crafted with fave Girl Scout cookies, Samoas and Thin Mints. Central Bistro will offer Thin Mint and Samoas truffles, along with house-made Thin Mint ice cream, while Local Bistro will offer Samoas chocolate tartufo, Berry Thin Mint crumble and Thin Mint ice cream. All the proceeds from these desserts will benefit the Girl Scouts–Arizona Cactus-Pine Council.
Celebrate another awesome Craft Beer Week at Four Peaks Brewery as they host its signature Rhythm & Brews (pictured) event Saturday, Feb. 22 from noon to 6 p.m. The family- and dog-friendly party is free to the public and will be held at the Tempe-based Four Peaks Tasting Room that now offers expanded craft beer selection. Event-goers can enjoy slow-cooked barbecue, live blues music and plenty of beer, of course.
Tonight, LON’s at the Hermosa will be adding an element of fashion to their award-winning Artist in Residence series by hosting a pre-Oscars party featuring Robert Black of Fashion by Robert Black. Guests are invited to celebrate one of the most fashionable nights in Hollywood with photo ops on the red carpet, a multi-course meal paired with classic cocktails, and a fashion show.
