Arizona Beer Week kicks off Saturday.
When U.S.A. wins top honors during the Winter Olympics, Z’Tejas Southwestern Grill will offer the specialty Gold Medal margarita for just $2.14 the following day.
Grimaldi’s Pizzeria is offering slices of cheesecake made out of Thin Mints and Samoas for $5. One dollar of every slice sold will go back to the Girl Scouts of Arizona.
This Valentine’s Day and Dutch Luv Day, all Phoenix-area Dutch Bros. Coffee are offering a $1 16-oz. drink in exchange for three nonperishable food items to help United Food Bank of Arizona fight hunger.
Perk Eatery‘s new addition is now open. The popular  breakfast and lunch space leased the space directly adjacent to their restaurant in North Scottsdale last fall, and renovations are now complete. Perk Eatery’s expansion adds an additional 1500 square feet of space. Additionally, Perk Eatery plans to offer cocktails with their menus.
Bartender Jason Asher is going against Kazimierz World Wine Bar’s Peter Kasperski in a five-course, 10-drink cocktail-duel dinner. The battle will happen on Thursday, Feb. 20 during Arizona Cocktail Week. Tickets are $55 per person, but with an Arizona Cocktail Week wristband it’s $45. The duel begins at 6:30 p.m. Call 480.946.3004 for reservations. Kazimierz is also featuring an Olympic-themed mixology menu throughout the Games. Some of the drinks include the Shaun White Russian, the Sochi Shochu, Moe, Larry & Curling and the Bobsled’s Your Uncle, among others.
The Beer For Brains Beer Vs. Wine Dinner featuring Deschutes Brewery founder Gary Fish takes place Feb. 20 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at Rico’s American Grill at Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort in Phoenix. The dinner will benefit the Beer for Brains Foundation, a locally-based nonprofit for craft-beer lovers, distributors and brewers who are committed to raising public awareness about brain cancer.  Tickets are available for $59 per person. Guests will enjoy a specialty four-course dinner paired with Deschutes Beers and Arizona wines. Guests will be encouraged to cast their vote for their choice pairing–the beer or the wine. Gertrude’s at Desert Botanical Garden is hosting a chef’s room dinner on Feb. 20 to close Arizona Cocktail Week. The $125-per-person all-inclusive evening blends locally focused cuisine and artfully crafted spirits featuring Square One Organic Spirits and Arizona Distilling Co.  Reservations are required for the 7 p.m. limited seating by calling 480.719.8600.

The Palo Verde restaurant (pictured) at the Boulders Resort hosts a wine dinner event on Tuesday, Feb. 18 featuring a four-course meal and wine pairings from Maison Joseph Drouhin winery. The dinner is $95 per person. To make a reservation, call 480.595.3496.
