All three Valley locations of Sandbar Mexican Grill will be hosting a toy drive to benefit Sunshine Acres through Wednesday, Dec. 18. Drop off a new, unwrapped toy suitable for children aged 6 – 12, and Sandbar will deliver to Sunshine Acres in time for Christmas. Plus, enjoy live caroling at all locations on Dec. 18. Tomorrow, dress up in your best ugly sweater and head to any of the three Sandbar locations. Sip the Gingerbread Martini, Pumpkin Patch Martini or Grandpa’s Cider and enjoy live DJs until 2 a.m.
On Saturday, Dec. 14 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Phoenix’s Nook Kitchen (pictured) and neighboring Arcadia businesses host the inaugural “Arcadia Cookbook Swap.” Bring a previously-loved cookbook to swap for a new one from your neighbor–all for free with a canned food item or small donation for St. Mary’s Food Bank. Plus, event-goers will enjoy cooking demos from some of the area’s top chefs.
Celebrating its 20th year under the Hormel family’s ownership, the Wrigley Mansion in Phoenix now offers live jazz every Thursday and Friday evening from 7-10 p.m.–as well as during its famous Sunday brunch inside Geordie’s Lounge. Enjoy live piano jazz from Tony Vacca and Judy Moore, accompanied by the city’s best saxophone and flute players.
