During October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month), $1 from every watermelon margarita sold at Scottsdale Quarter’s SOL Cocina will be donated to Bosom Buddies of Arizona.
Attention sweet teeth: Nothing Bundt Cakes will open a Glendale location Oct. 12 at 5890 W. Thunderbird Road, Suite 101. The new shop will host its grand opening activities Wednesday, Oct. 17 through Saturday, Oct. 20, including a ribbon-cutting, free cakes and a family-fun event.
Tomorrow evening, at Hotel Palomar, the Valley will welcome a James Beard Award winner for “A Splendid Evening with Lynne Rosetto Kasper.” The cocktail tasting event will feature the work of the Valley’s top mixologists and artisanal spirits. Mastro’s Steakhouse debuts a Sunday Brunch this weekend from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Expect sushi, shellfish, omelets, waffles, carving stations and much more. $55 for adults.
