Though many of us are still recuperating from last week’s Scottsdale Culinary Festival, there is another food event on the horizon that we’re very excited about: Taste 2009.
Here are the details: This year’s Taste 2009 – “A World of Flavor” – will take place on Sunday, April 26 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Scottsdale’s Kierland Commons. Hosted each year by the Executive Council, a group formed to raise money for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Phoenix, the 35th Annual Taste 2009 – “A World of Flavor” – will allow guests to explore and indulge in new and exciting flavors from across the globe. With more than 60 wines from around the world and 50 of the Valley’s most fashionable eateries, the possibilities of exploring the world of flavor are endless. Featuring live entertainment throughout, the mood of the evening will be fun and upbeat lending itself to Kierland’s main street, open-air ambiance.
Taste 2009, “A World of Flavor,” is being presented by University of Phoenix and will consist of four different events: The Champion’s Dinner, Taste Pre-Party, Taste and Post-Taste. Individual tickets for this year’s Taste will be available for $150. Proceeds of ticket sales will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Phoenix, whose mission since 1946 has been to inspire and enable the youth of Phoenix to realize their individual potential, while learning responsible citizenship. Additional tickets and packages are also available for each of the four events and can be purchased by visiting www.taste2009.com.
