If you love sushi, you’re going to love September in the Valley. First of all, Old Town Scottsdale’s hot spot Geisha A Go Go has debuted a new Rice Crispy Treat Roll (Geisha A Go Go debuted its new sushi bar recently, as well). So what if the only thing “sushi” about the new roll is it’s shape? Chef Andrew Nam’s new dessert replaces regular rice with a crunchy coating of “crisped” rice, and it features cookies-and-cream ice cream in the center. Completing the sushi experience, each Rice Crispy Treat Roll is served with a dipping sauce on the side. However, unlike standard dipping sauces, Geisha a Go Go’s guests choose one of two sweet sauces, including a warm chocolate sauce or a buttery caramel sauce. 7150 E. 6th Ave., Scottsdale, 480.699.0055, http://geishaagogo.com/.

If you’re craving a more savory type of sushi, Sushi Roku, located inside the W Scottsdale, will celebrate its one year anniversary with a full week of half-priced food and drink specials. Just drop by Sushi Roku anytime from September 8 to 13, and receive half-off all food during lunch and dinner all week long (that means Friday and Saturday, too). Wash it all down with a $5 Roku Fusion cocktail, Sushi Roku’s signature mix of raspberry and citrus Skyy vodka, fresh pineapple, melon fruit and orange garnish. 7277 E. Camelback Rd., Scottsdale, 480.970.2121, http://www.sushiroku.com/.
