Polar Play Now Open in Scottsdale

OdySea in the Desert in Scottsdale has just debuted its newest indoor attraction: Polar Play. Polar Play marks the state’s very first ice bar and polar experience, which offers a unique journey to the north and south poles (not to mention it will keep us cool during the upcoming summer months).
The Polar Play journey begins as guests step through the front door and into The Lodge. Then, staff members provide a coat and gloves in preparation of entering the “Polar Zone.” (Polar Play also offers a VIP faux fur coat as an upgrade.)
As visitors travel through a portal into an icy world, all of the walls, the bar and benches are crafted from ice. Guests can enjoy chilly games of shuffleboard, corn hole and checkers, while, at the Ice Bar, they can sip adult beverages. After leaving the “Polar Zone,” guests re-enter The Lodge where they are met with a warm fire to begin warming up. Delicious food and a variety of specialty coffees and icy slushy treats can also be enjoyed while reviewing photos and sharing the experience via social media. But the Polar Play experience isn’t all fun and games (and eats and drinks): an educational Polar Play app allows guests to explore facts about both the north and south poles.

Plus, Polar Play acts as a fun venue for parties and events. Birthday parties include ice playground entry, glacier frost drinks, cheese pizzas, a fruit bowl and baked potato chips. Polar tour guides are available to escort party-goers through the experience.
Polar Play is open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.. Admission is $15 for ages 13-plus and $10 for children ages 2-12, and includes the use of a parka and gloves. Entry times are on the hour, for a one-hour experience. Children under 2 are not permitted in the Polar Zone ice room.
