Looking for a little Italian in your lunch hour? Scottsdale’s Amarone Ristorante Italiano is now open for lunch Monday through Friday at 11 am. The lunch menu will be a slightly shorter version of the dinner menu (which is chock-full of Italian family recipes and the homemade dishes and desserts) with added items like calzone, lunch-size wood-fired pizzas and seven pasta dishes under $10. Featured lunch items include Spaghetti Con Salsiccia, pasta with mushrooms, bell peppers, onions and Italian sausage in a marinara sauce with a splash of white wine; Penne Matriciana, pasta sautéed with bacon, onions and tomatoes with a splash of red wine; and Pollo Saltimbocca, chicken breast, sage and a splash of Marsala wine topped with prosciutto and mozzarella. A specialty salad is the Antipasto Della Casa, a mix of prosciutto, roasted bell peppers, eggplant, black olives, mushrooms, tomatoes and sliced homemade mozzarella. 9011 E. Via Linda, Scottsdale. 480.391.2222.
