Labor Day Dining in Phoenix


If you’re not planning on barbecuing poolside this Labor Day weekend, here are a few dining events and specials around the Valley to check out during your three-day escape.
On Labor Day Monday, Scottsdale’s Eddie V’s Prime Seafood, Wildfish Seafood Grille and Roaring Fork restaurants are hosting a special “Dinner on Us” promotion which include buy-one-get-one-free entrees at all three feasting spots. Entrees include (but aren’t limited to) some of these scrumptious seafood selections: Louisiana Red Fish Sautéed with Fresh Lump Crab, Meunière Style; North Atlantic Scallops Sautéed with Citrus Fruits, Almonds and Brown Butter; Boneless Buttermilk-Fried Chicken with smashed potatoes and peppercorn gravy; Wood Oven Roasted Shrimp with Falls Mills soft cheese grits; Crispy Fish Tacos on Fresh, House-Made Tortillas; and Oyster or Shrimp “Po-Boy” with Spicy Remoulade and Hand-Cut French Fries. http://www.eddiev.com/.
On Monday, Sept. 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Queen Creek Olive Mill will host the Grill at the Grove. In addition to the regular menu at del Piero restaurant, Queen Creek Olive Mill is grilling hot and sweet Italian sausages slathered with the Mill’s famous tapenades on a ciabatta bun and served with del Piero’s Sicilian slaw. For $9, Labor Day diners have a choice of:
