The man behind Food Network’s “Throwdown! with Bobby Flay” and “Boy Meets Grill”–and that red mane–will be in town this month to promote his new cookbook and meet fans. On Sunday, Oct. 17, Bobby Flay will be at Kierland Commons’ Sur La Table store in Scottsdale to celebrate the launch of his new book, “Bobby Flay’s Throwdown!: More Than 100 Recipes from Food Network’s Ultimate Cooking Challenge” ($28). The Q. and A. and book-signing event will take place at 11 a.m.
In his new book, Flay goes head-to-head with cooks who have staked their claim as masters of an iconic dish—from buffalo wings to sticky buns. Customers are strongly encouraged to pre-purchase books at Sur La Table ahead of time. http://www.surlatable.com/.
