It’s the hap-happiest time of the year–for foodies, that is. May 17 kicks off Arizona Restaurant Week, also known as 10 days during which the state’s best dining destinations dish up specially priced prix fixe menus for $30 or $40 (plus tax and tip).
When Arizona Restaurant Week made its debut in 2008, 95 restaurants took part. This year’s event will feature eats from upwards of 200 restaurants. AZFoothills.com was treated to a dine-around of some of this year’s Arizona Restaurant Week participants, all located in Phoenix: Bink’s Midtown, Clever Koi (pictured) and Sierra Bonita Grill. Looking to sample some of Kevin Binkley’s five-star fare? Bink’s pork confit is melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and the restaurant, situated in an old house, is charming and quaint and a romantic date spot. At Clever Koi, round up your buddies to experience a seriously cool spot decked in rad art and dine on unique eats like the steak cobb bibimbap (a deconstructed rice bowl). For a cozy, homey experience for the family, Sierra Bonita is tops. Sip on the signature margarita and end your repast with croissant bread pudding.
Other Arizona Restaurant Week participants include Barrio Queen, Beckett’s Table, BLT Steak, Christopher’s Restaurant and Crush Lounge, Crudo, EVO, Noca, Petite Maison, Tanzy, The Gladly, The Parlor and many, many more. For a complete list of participating restaurants, visit www.arizonarestaurantweek.com. Be sure to call the individual restaurant to make reservations.
