This week’s Resort Report features two standout properties ideal for fall getaways.

Washington School House

There’s no better time to experience Park City than in the fall. Autumn is a prime time for hiking the beautiful trails of northern Utah. Moderate temperatures and clear skies invite locals and visitors alike to explore the scenic backdrop of the area. In order to allow travelers to enjoy the best of the season, Washington School House, Park City’s newest luxury hotel, is offering guests their Fall in Love Package: Sugar and Spice and All Things Nice. Guests can visit Park City this fall to enjoy the changing leaves with a three-night stay package for two people in a lofted king suite and the following Sugar & Spice plus All Things Nice.

The Sugar and Spice portion of the package includes: a Hearty Mountain breakfast for two cooked daily by the property’s chef, a Cooking lesson: Guests can learn how to make our Signature Molasses Spice cookies in time for the fall season. The property’s pastry chef will share all of her secrets of successful baking and guests will get to enjoy the results, and Mountain Biking: Guests can enjoy a day’s mountain biking with an experienced guide to show them the best trails the area has to offer. Suited for all skill levels, guests can take their pick of terrain, from gentle sage brush-covered hillsides and flowing paths through the aspens to a technical alpine single track. Along the way, they’ll get all the pointers they need to get up those steep hills, around those tricky switchbacks and to keep them safe throughout the adventure.

The “And All Things Nice” portion of the package includes: Champagne, Daily afternoon appetizers, Massage: A therapist will treat guests to a rejuvenating and therapeutic massage customized to address your specific needs, and a Private Watercolor Class Kimball Art Center – A 3hr watercolor class customized to each guest’s level, to capture the beautiful changing leaves in watercolor.

The Package price is $675 per night (three-night stay) based on double occupancy, based on hotel availability, no blackout dates, valid until October 15, 2012.

“Capture the Color” fall package is a unique way to see fall colors. Set creek side in Sedona’s Red Rock country surrounded by shaded trees, the stunning foliage and colors of fall that contrast the surrounding red rock formations should not be missed.
