The Lodge at Torrey Pines has announced a partnership with the esteemed James Beard Foundation for an unforgettable weekend as they proudly host one of the nation’s most coveted culinary events, the James Beard Foundation’s Celebrity Chef Tour. Each year only a handful of cities are selected to host this exclusive dinner; the tour gives San Diegans a rare opportunity to enjoy New York City’s authentic James Beard House dining experience in the comfort of their own city. Kicking off Friday, May 29 through Sunday, May 31, 2015, a portion of the proceeds will benefit the James Beard Foundation, a non-profit organization. In addition to the dinner prepared by world-class celebrity chefs, guests will also enjoy wine tastings, an exclusive tour of Point Loma Farms, five-star meals and a luxurious stay at La Jolla’s The Lodge at Torrey Pines Resort.

With 3 curated days dedicated to the best of San Diego’s seasonal local bounty, wine and culinary abilities, the highlight of the weekend will take place on Saturday, May 30th with the James Beard Foundation’s Celebrity Chef Tour Dinner, which will be hosted by the Lodge’s Executive Chef Jeff Jackson. The nationally renowned chef, who has been a guest chef at the esteemed James Beard House in New York City, will proudly welcome Food Network star Beau MacMillan of Iron Chef fame as well as Executive Chef of elements at Sanctuary on Camelback, and James Beard Foundation Award winner Carrie Nahabedian of Chicago’s Michelin starred NAHA. The five course farm-to-table menu will be prepared tableside and paired with wines from a trio of California wineries: Nickel & Nickel and Far Niente (Napa Valley) and EnRoute (Russian River Valley).

“The art and the thought that goes into preparing quality dining experiences is central to what I do, and I have been inspired by the James Beard Foundation for many years,” said Executive Chef Jeff Jackson. “This is such an incredible opportunity for everyone involved, and I’m excited to work with Chefs Beau MacMillan and Carrie Nahabedian to create not just a dinner, but a culinary experience.”

Guests may participate in the festivities by reserving either a one or two-night stay package at The Lodge at Torrey Pines.
