Mar. 11, 2017. 12,000 rubber duckies weighing 1,700 pounds made their way down the Scottsdale Waterfront at noon on Saturday. With live music playing from the sides of the waterfront, the canal gates were opened at the moment the 12,000 ducks were dropped from a container box suspended over the canal. The water levels rose, pushing the ducks under the bridge and past the FINISH LINE where spectators were watching for their ducks to cross.
