Sep. 18, 2015. Inspired by traditions started in Munich, Germany over 200 years ago, The Toronto Oktoberfest brought a taste of Munich to the city as it captured the essence of Bavarian festivities through authentic food, drink and merriment. A genuine Festhalle was filled with traditional Bavarian dancers, polka bands, German and European biers, delicious Bavarian food, singing, dancing, pretzel tossing, barrel rolling, and even a corn maze!
