A typical day in my life includes…

waking up early, around 5:30-6am to spend time with my two dogs, eat a healthy breakfast, and head out the door for a busy day. I start my day by working out to improve my overall health and fitness, and then, I work with clients throughout the day, motivating and guiding them to reach their health and fitness goals.

I was born…

in Flagstaff, Arizona.

My favorite thing about Arizona…

I enjoy the diversity of our state. I love being able to take my truck out on a dirt road in the country life of my hometown, Williams, where the temperatures are nice and cool, and then being back in the desert in less than three hours, experiencing the hustle and bustle of the city life.

I’m listening to…

my heart and my intuition. I feel like I’m being driven forward to do what I really love, which is making a difference in people’s lives by motivating them to do right by others and live a happy and healthy life.

My family…

and friends mean the world to me. They are very supportive and always give me the courage and strength to be the best version of myself.

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…

Arnold Schwarzenegger, for sure! Through my own personal transformation from being obese in high school to being the head trainer at STS, I have always found myself using him as a good source of motivation. His work ethic has helped me push myself to never stop working towards my dreams and goals. It would be amazing to sit face to face with him and receive even more motivation from the source himself.

One thing I cannot live without…

I wouldn’t say there is one specific thing I can’t live without, but more so who I can’t live without — my family and friends. I always look to them when I need advice, but even when I don’t, I know they are always there standing beside me and supporting me in whatever it is that I am doing.

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

SUPERMAN! I wanted to be the guy who came in and saved people’s lives, and the guy who looked out and protected whoever it may be that was in need of my help.

I’m inspired by…

people. We all have it in us to discover new things, to push ourselves to new limits, and to raise the bar in a sense to what it is that we want. Anyone can do it if they work towards their dreams and dare to take the risk in life that makes history worth living.

The one person who motivates me is…

my boss and good friend, Scott Keppel. Ever since I was an intern under him, I have always looked up to him and dreamed of following in his footsteps by making a name for myself in the fitness industry. Now, I am working along side him everyday, constantly learning new things, and always being motivated by his drive and positive outlook on life.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

educating our youth on the importance of proper nutrition and living an active lifestyle. Growing up I wasn’t as healthy or as active as I should have been, which lead me to being obese and pre-diabetic before I was even in high school. I wish I had been healthier at a young age so I could have avoided going through the hard battle of losing weight, being bullied by not only my peers, but by adults, and the mental toll it played on me. However, I am grateful for what I went through because it made me appreciate who I am today, and now I am able to understand and relate to my clients who are going through the same or similar battles.

The perfect day would be…

waking up on a sunny day, taking my two dogs on a morning walk, get a good workout in at the gym, and training my clients with an amazing workout while hearing them tell me they hit one of the goals they set. The evening would consist of spending time with the people closest to me and meeting up with my family and friends for a nice dinner.

My first job was…

working the family business at our hotel and gym in Williams, AZ.

My favorite escape…

would be on a dirt road in Williams, AZ.

My life…

has definitely been a life worth living, so far. I have overcome several obstacles that have been placed in front of me, and I continue to push myself to new levels. My dream is to make an impact on the world.

I’m currently working on…

myself. As I mentioned before, growing up obese and unhealthy took a toll on me not just physically, but mentally, as well. I am currently working on my mental state by encouraging myself to not look in the mirror and see the 270lb kid I used to be, but instead seeing the new, confident self I am today. I’m not going to lie; it’s daily work.

Always…

listen to your heart and follow your dreams. Your dreams came to you for a reason, so chase those dreams and make them a reality.

Never…

give up on yourself. Things get hard in life and may sometimes seem like nothing will ever happen how they are supposed to, but I assure you, you are strong and you can handle anything that comes your way.

Favorite Quote…

“In any given moment we have two options: step forward into growth. Or step back into safety.” – Abraham Maslow

Biggest Dream…

is to someday have a name for myself in the fitness industry and travel the world sharing my story with stadiums full of people. I want to motivate them to chase their dreams and to never give up.

My Pet Peeve(s)…

are when people have such raw talent and potential in life and they can be truly great at what talent they have, but they let it go to waste by not acting on it.
