Title: Special Events & Development Manager, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale

Married/Single: Taken! I met my boyfriend Regan Amato right here in Scottsdale at a fundraiser for a children’s charity – we both went to the University of Arizona together as well.

City you live in: Scottsdale

A typical day in my life includes…

there is no such thing as a typical day in events! I wake up every morning and the first thing I do is check my emails to try and plan by day but other than that, anything could happen!

I’m currently working on…

our Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale’s upcoming event – Live & Local, presented by GoDaddy! The event takes place Sunday, November 9th at Scottsdale Civic Center. With over 30 participating local restaurants and more than 40 beverage tastings, you won’t leave this event hungry! It’s been great to see this event take shape and the community come together to support such a worthy cause.

In addition to Live & Local, I’m also currently the President of Valley of the Sun Active 20-30 Club, a group of 75 professional women, ages 20 – 39, who are committed to fundraising and participating in organized hands-on activities with local children’s charities. We are getting ready to host the National 20-30 Convention November 21st – 23rd, which we are very excited about!

My favorite thing about Arizona…

the sunsets!

I’m inspired by…

the youth that we serve at the Boys & Girls Clubs and the youth charities supported by 20-30 Club. The kids are truly amazing and there is no better cause to work for than the children in our community.

I’m listening to…

Jason Aldean.

My family…

is everything to me. Growing up as a 5th generation Phoenician and part of very large family, I had always taken for granted that my family was in close proximity to me. As I got older, I realized how fortunate I am to have them close by. I’m hosting Thanksgiving for the first time this year for 70 of my family members. Fingers crossed that I don’t burn the turkey!

The one person who motivates me is…

my mom. She is truly an inspiration to me and provides me with the support and encouragement I need to navigate through life’s challenges. My mom recently earned her doctorate while working full time and being a full time wife and mother. Just listening to that makes me tired! My mom never ceases to amaze me and I hope to be half the woman she is!

The perfect day would be…

spending time with those closest to me (and preferably a Wildcat victory).

One thing I cannot live without…

I hate to be cliché but my cell phone! I’m on it 24/7 whether it’s to access my calendar, email, alarm clock or social media.

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

an attorney. At the age of 7, I was obsessed with the O.J. Simpson trial and, after watching that trial, my dream was to become the next Marcia Clark (except win the case!). I pursued a career in the legal field until recently when I discovered that my passion truly lies in the non-profit field. My LSAT just expired last month so I am staying in the non-profit industry for good!

My first job was…

receptionist at a law firm.

My favorite escape…

Sedona. I enjoy everything that the town has to offer – from wine tasting to the hiking trails, Sedona is the perfect place to recharge my batteries.

Always…

make a good first impression.

Never…

give up! There is always a solution with a little persistence and a positive outlook.

Favorite Quote…

“You make a living by what you get; you make a life by what you give.” – Winston Churchill

Biggest Dream…

to start my own non-profit.

My Pet Peeve(s)…

littering. Nothing gives my road rage more than seeing someone throwing trash out the window on the freeway.
