A typical day in my life includes…

starting my day at 6am answering emails and creating my “to do” list, fixing breakfast, rushing out the door to get the kids to school on time, visiting my Orangetheory Fitness locations in Arcadia and Central Phoenix, checking in with my OTF families, constantly communicating and strategizing with my studio manager and right hand man Eric Moerman, picking my kids up from school and getting them ready for after school activities such as gymnastics or volleyball, finishing up my work day while the kids are having fun in their sports, going home to cook dinner and finish homework, getting everyone showered and in bed.

I was born…

in Durango, Colorado

My favorite thing about Arizona…

Arizona is such an amazing place to live. It offers such tremendous variety of outdoor activities, yet still offers beautiful city living. As a native of Colorado, I loved skiing and barbecuing but I could never do both activities in the same day. In Arizona, I’m two hours away from skiing and yet, I can be home in time to barbecue on the patio at night.

My family…

includes my four children, my boyfriend and his two daughters, his mom and dad, my mom and dad along with their spouses, two older brothers, my nephew, my friend and studio manager, and my entire Orangetheory Fitness staff. I consider myself to be one of the most fortunate women in this world!

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…

Frank Sinatra. I would have him serenade me with “Fly Me To The Moon.”

One thing I cannot live without…

the one thing (besides the obvious, my family) that I could not live without would be CHRISTMAS!!

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

an astronomer.

I’m inspired by…

my parents. My father has shown me unconditional love. He has hundreds of friends in many different places and has never met a stranger. He’s a wonderful grandpa, he loves to have fun, he loves his family and is always there when I need him. His dynamic personality has helped make him very successful in business. My mother is an amazing businesswoman too and has led the industry for “female car dealers” for as long as I can remember. I’ve watched my mother go through a world of trials and triumphs, but she has always persevered due to her loving and caring nature, along with her enormous gift of intelligence. She is one of the most generous people I know and has always put her family first. She recognizes the people who have shared in her success by loving them and always sharing the rewards with them. My mother is the hardest working person I know.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

the number of hours in a day. There is always so much that needs to be done and never enough time to do all of the things that I would like to accomplish!

The perfect day would be…

a day in the mountains with my family, without any electronics that preoccupy my children!

My first job was…

a hotel maid at a small hotel called Econo Lodge, on Main Street in my hometown of Durango, Colorado when I was 11.

My favorite escape…

is a cup of coffee on a cool winter day in Arizona on my beautiful back porch, reading a cooking magazine, or a long trail run in the mountains.

My life…

is simple. I like it that way. I enjoy the simplest things in life: cooking while enjoying a glass of wine, an individual moment with one of my children, sharing laughter and watching the love grow between the kids and adults in my blended family, hiking with my boyfriend (the love of my life), sharing accomplishments with my OTF family and members of my studios. I love people and I love helping people. I believe I was given a gift to love and to share, which is what I enjoy most.

I’m currently working on…

opening my second Orangetheory Fitness in Central Phoenix. I have been with the company now for almost four years and I’ve owned three Orangetheory Fitness studios.  They are a huge part of the foundation of my life. Orangetheory Fitness is not just a job or a business for me; it has been an avenue for my own personal health and fitness and has motivated me to stay healthy and active. It has also been a provider for me as a single mom and has given me a way to take care of my family and OTF staff.

Always…

listen to your inner voice, your instinct. Don’t doubt yourself. You’ll never find your path if you don’t take the time to plow it.

Never…

be afraid to make a mistake. Mistakes are lessons that eventually lead us to the correct answer.

Favorite Quote…

Nike’s “Just Do It” and my own: “You can do anything for 30 seconds!”

Biggest Dream…

is to be an inspiration, as my own mother has been to me, to my children, friends and family. I want to show them that anything is possible as long as you don’t let fear of the unknown stop you. I guess it’s more of a goal than a dream, but I want to set an example. The basic fundamentals in life are the essential ingredients to success: Hard work, patience, persistence and integrity.

My Pet Peeve(s)…

is complaining. I have no time for complaining or excuses; accountability is the only truth.
