A typical day in my life includes…
Some days, I wake up in the morning feelin’ like P. Diddy, grab my glasses, head out the door, & hit the city. But on other days, I wake up at 6:45, try to put on makeup like the pros, fail at putting makeup on like the pros, get to work by 9, write captions for the Bloguettes Instagram, make a to-do list, double check if the blog post going live is good to go, talk to my interns about their tasks, edit posts, edit more posts, answer emails, write some posts, edit posts again, laugh a bit, listen to the 5 o’clock commercial-free radio for my hour commute home, hear the radio give free tickets to something cool, call the radio to win that cool something, not win, get home, eat a massive (most likely, not good for me) dinner, crave dessert, convince myself not to eat dessert, say “Shanna, go to the gym,” in my head, don’t go, scroll through Instagram & stalk, stalk, stalk, get ready for bed, go on Instagram again for 20min (minimum, eek), and sleep. The end. Repeat.

my friends back in Korea. I taught English in South Korea last year and met some amazing people. Seeing them again & catching up over ‘chimek’ (Korean fried chicken & beer) is all I want!
One thing I cannot live without…

When I was younger, I wanted to be…
a writer! And lo and behold, it happened!
I’m inspired by…
fear. When you find the courage deep within yourself to overcome a fear, you grow tenfold and then some.
The one person who motivates me is…
my mom. She’s independent, strong-willed, can read people like a book, and looks like she’s 27 when she’s almost 50. Seriously. I don’t know how many times I’ve heard people sing, “Shanna’s mom has got it goin’ on.”
If I could change anything in the world, it would be…
giving the people what they want: free guac at Chipotle. That and for everyone to understand each other.
The perfect day would be…
stuffing a backpack with all my necessities, going to the airport, and taking the next cheapest flight out with my boyfriend. The rest of the day would be a mystery!
My first job was…
a billing clerk (aka glorified mail girl) at a financial company.
My favorite escape…
arts & crafts! Anything from decorating the covers of notebooks, painting, making bracelets, and taking plain swimsuits/thrift items & sprucing them up.

is all about finding meaning & purpose and being true to who I am and what I believe in.

when people don’t know the difference between “your” and “you’re.” I’m an editor by day & editor of my friends’ group messages by night. They hate it, but they shall learn the difference if it’s the last thing I do!
