A typical day in my life is…

a surprise! Each day is different and that’s what makes it so exciting. Just as no two dates are ever the same, neither are my days. From being a matchmaker to a mom, surprises are abundant.

I was born…

in El Paso, Texas into a military family who moved around a lot. We made our way from Texas to the suburbs of Chicago. I’ve always had a west coast calling, which brought me back to California and then eventually landed me here in Phoenix.

My favorite thing about Arizona…

is it’s picturesque landscapes. The sun is always out, mountains are all around you, and within a short distance you can reach small eclectic towns like Bisbee and Jerome. As a landscape photographer in my free time, this state is a dream to me.

I’m listening to…

99.9 KEZ. My taste in music is always dependent on my mood. Lately, I have been relaxing with friends listening to live music at our favorite neighborhood hangouts.

My family…

is action-packed! Being the only girl in a family of five children, there was never a dull moment for us. I was shy when I was younger and I remember spying on my brothers a lot. Looking back, it was that curiosity that sparked my interest in how humans interact with one another.

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…

Marilyn Monroe. Not only is she a beauty icon but she exudes femininity, which I’m trying to help bring back in my matchmaking. I love to ignite confidence in others to help them feel sexy enough to know what it is they want.

One thing I cannot live without…

fitness. As a personal trainer for 21 years, I can’t live without the gym. Whether it’s on my own or in a class setting, I love seeking motivation from pushing myself. When I feel like I’m stuck in a workout, I seek motivation from others.

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

famous. My mom and I used to watch The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour, my mom would play the piano and I remember mimicking Cher’s singing, pretending our living room was our stage. I was always the entertainer in the middle of the room at family gatherings… I still love to make people laugh and feel good.

I’m inspired by…

God. God leads every aspect of my life and when I decided to become a matchmaker I had to put my faith into him to leave a secure job and go into the field of fate, the field of finding love for someone when so many people are challenged by finding it for themselves.

The one person who motivates me is…

my son. His unconditional love motivates me to be the best role model I can, to provide him with someone to lean on and someone who leads by example.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

world hunger. When I was living in Chicago I worked with homeless groups with my mother. It was special to us to give back in that way.

The perfect day would be…

today. I am truly blessed to feel as though every day is the perfect day. I am happy 95% of the time, and I say 95% because no one is happy 100% of the time. A roof over my head, good friends and great people to meet makes every day a perfect one.

My first job was…

a busser at an Italian restaurant. I learned that hard work paid off early when I started working at the age of 13. It taught me that there is nothing demeaning about any job you get. Each job has it’s own takeaways.

My favorite escape…

is my zen garden. I converted the patio at my condo into my own zen garden. It’s great to light candles and sit out there on those cooler Valley nights.

My life…

is fantastic! I have good people in my life, wonderful experiences and amazing blessings.

I’m currently working on…

finding love for people who can’t! I like to take my clients on an inner journey to find out what it is they are looking for, as opposed to checking off boxes on a list of predetermined qualities that everyone seems to want in one another.

Always…

looking to make someone happy. Never…say never!
