A typical day in my life includes…

I get up about 3:30 am, usually work until 6am at my company Golfpay; then go the gym for an hour before getting on with appointments and team meetings with the Golfpay team. I usually finish work about 6 or 7pm, but I take time during the day to breath and sprinkle in some fun. I might go to the practice range to hit some balls or just meet a friend for dinner.

I was born…

in St. Louis MO.

My favorite thing about Arizona…

the great golf courses and the mild winters.

I’m listening to

Justin Timberlake to Coldplay and almost everything in between. Country music is the ONLY thing I can’t seem to get into.

My family

is all grown up, except my dad and me. Kidding, my son is doing great and has a great personality and is way more fun then I remember being!

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…

that’s a tough one. Someone not boring or stuffy, but that I would be enriched by the experience. Jay-Z? Really, he’s an impressive individual, and accomplished a lot.

One thing I cannot live without…

I love to work. My current company Golfpay is going to change forever how golfers book tee times, and I’m very excited about going to work every day. My great friends and I need a good steak, so if the end of the world ever comes, I want to make sure I have a great steak first!

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

a professional fisherman.

I’m inspired by…

people doing great things despite their circumstances, overcoming and doing it with grace.

The one person who motivates me is…

I’m very self-motivated. My childhood wasn’t the best, so I had to learn this art of self-motivation.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

the way the government works is antiquated in this country, so that would be priority #1.

The perfect day would be…

7 ½ hours of sleep! Playing a game of golf on a great golf course with my friends (Shooting a 79!), then having a nice quite dinner at a great steak restaurant with a nice Cuban cigar after.

My first job was…

my first real job was a tortilla factory. I loved that job, not really a care in the world! My job was as a machine operator and a tortilla shuffler. 50% of my diet was eating fresh chips, hot sauce, and beer of course.

My favorite escape…

a trip out to San Diego, or a game of golf.

My life…

has been an adventure, and the final chapter is not written yet. Very exciting.

I’m currently working on…

I’m the CEO of a company called Golfpay which is going to forever change how golfers book tee times online. We filed two patents that we believe will really improve the economic picture for golf courses as they try and stave off the commodification of green fees. I’m proud to say it’s the first mobile check-in app for public golf courses in the world, so golfers don’t need to stand in line, with no booking fees!

Always…

shoot high, and remember where you come from, help others and be kind.

Never…

say never, or put limits on success or goals.

Favorite Quote…

many, many but here is one from Steve Jobs that I love. “The ones who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones that do.”

Biggest Dream…

make Golfpay the number one tee time reservation app in the world.

My Pet Peeve(s)…

when someone in our golf group hits a ball within 10 or 15 yards of a golfer who is playing in front of our group, that looks back with horror and disgust. LOL. People on the golf course need to lighten up.
