Age: 55. Awe man, did I just say that? I meant to say 49! Can we start over?

Title: Writer, Author, Storyteller

Married/Single: Waaay married… 23 years!

Kids: Yes

City you live in: Scottsdale

A typical day in my life includes…

in a ‘typical’ day I can spend anywhere from an hour to 8+ hours writing. Writing is what I do, storytelling is what I love. Other ‘typical’ stuff… I live to watch my 17 year old son play hockey. He’s very good… really. Movies once a week, and I love to take my wife out to dinner as often as possible. I mean really, this is Scottsdale, who can stay home?

I was born…

in a tree house on a secluded beach in Hawaii. Oh wait, sorry. That’s one of my books! Actually I was born at Fort Ord (Army base) in N. California. In case you are wondering, it cost my parents $8.37 for me to come into this world. Good deal for the money if you ask me!

My favorite thing about Arizona…

whoa, long list. The weather, the people, the mountains, Sedona, the weather, (sorry, that’s a biggie), Grand Canyon, everything about Arizona and all its natural beauty. Oh and Barro’s Pizza.

I’m listening to…

the woman in the next office yelling at someone. Sounds like she’s winning.

My family…

is amazing. I know everyone says that, but if I looked up the perfect family I’m pretty sure we’d get a very high rating on Google.

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…

Mt. Rushmore. That way I could have dinner with four Presidents at the same time… they buy.

One thing I cannot live without…

beside the obvious, my laptop. Hello, I’m a writer!

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

a writer. I know this answer stinks and might seem obvious, but the truth is my deepest secret all of my life, from 15 on, was I always wanted to write. But it wasn’t until I was 53 that I wrote my first words. Now here I am, four novels later. Ta Da!

I’m inspired by…

Christopher Columbus. Who else could completely miss their mark and live forever as a hero of American history.

The one person who motivates me is…

my wife. No question.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

uh, uh… I so don’t want to be PC with this question. So let me say this. The one thing I would change is to make sure every human being on earth gets at least 12 years of a general education, minus political science of course. That should help.

The perfect day would be…

sitting under a palm tree on a beach in Hawaii, writing my next book. Too easy!

My first job was…

a paperboy! A job I kept for 32 years! Just kidding. But I was good at it. I was the only eight year old around that had any money of his own!

My favorite escape…

besides Hawaii? Being lost in one of my stories as I write and develop each of the characters. It could also be a cabin in the mountains covered in snow; it could also be both.

My life…

is no longer about being serious, or too serious. Life is already tough, time to live a little!

I’m currently working on…

my new book, titled Rock & Ice. Man it’s fun. About 125 pages in, around 150+ pages to go. It’s about my two favorite subjects, Rock & Roll and Ice Hockey. Cool combination, right?!

Always…

eat your vegetables, or always say you’re sorry, or always finish what you start. I don’t know, you pick one.

Never…

throw up on someone, unless you’re an infant, that’s probably okay.

Favorite Quote…

“When all else fails, order a pizza” Dutch Jones

Biggest Dream…

A lifetime of heath and happiness for my children. To be a grandfather, no rush… but please hurry. And to have no financial worries ever again. Then travel with globe with my honey.

My Pet Peeve(s)…

is a very long list. But to name a few: When a driver is driving slower than anyone else in the ‘fast lane’; leaving your shopping cart sitting in the middle of the isle while you go find what your looking for somewhere else, leaving everyone to have to fight to get around you; I can’t stand it when someone finally gets to the cash register, not prepared to pay, wallet still in the purse, searching for the exact change, ugggg! Sorry ladies! Okay, that’s enough.

My books! My books! You didn’t ask me about my books. So I’m gunna tell you anyway. Rose, life begins at 81 (just released!), Long Trip Home, EAP The Untold Story & Changing Tides. All Contemporary Romance, all released within the last two years or so, all available on Amazon.
