Event season is upon us and Phoenix-based, Encore Creative is on top of their game. Encore houses over 50,000 square feet of every type of event design or décor imaginable including: themed events and props, sets/staging, signage, linen, custom floral, specialty lighting, fog screen, event furniture, entertainment booking & event production.

Encore Creative, Arizona’s largest event décor, design and production company, emerged from the 2006 merger of sister companies Encore Entertainment and Creative Decorating & Display. For nearly three decades, the two independent and well-established Phoenix-based companies worked together to deliver entertainment, design, decorating and event production services. The company further expanded after acquiring the corporate staging firm Set Monsters, and through a partnership with FogScreen Inc. Today, Encore Creative is the largest company of its kind in Arizona, delivering masterfully planned and executed events of every size and scope throughout the country.

Encore Creative’s positive and well-known reputation has made them a leader in the event production industry. We have asked Stefanie Lerner, Co-Owner of Encore Creative, to fill us in on the industry and give us some insider scoop.

Where do you see the art of event production heading in the future?

Encore tries to take a multi-disciplinary approach to events. Live entertainment, drama and the unexpected are integrated so the event is layered and dynamic. In a culture where we have visual stimulation coming at us from all angles all day, it’s important to create events that have various layers of stimulation that drive home a message and wow them with an experience, not just an event.

What types of events are becoming more popular in the Valley?

One concept we are having the most fun creating is mixing metal into staging and décor. Many trends come out of fashion. On the runway copper, bronze, silver and gold share space on the same palate, so too are in an event theme or trend. There’s also a continuing trend that pay homage to pop culture. Pirates, Alice in Wonderland and fantasy are always popular.

What are this year’s trends in Wedding décor?

A lot of brides are seeking simple elegance this season. Many monochromatic arrangements. Weddings are feeling less ornate. More candles. Simple and beautiful.

What is the most popular event that your company plans this year?

We had the pleasure of producing the Prime Sport BCS championship pre-game event this past January.
