Thos. Moser Edo Bed

I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to lay my head down at night on just any bed. I want a bed that gives me sweet design dreams each night, which is exactly what I suspect this new bed from Thos. Moser would do. As a part of the Edo collection, Thos. Moser has just released this gorgeous modern bed as a part of their Edo collection.

While Thos. Moser’s Edo collection was first introduced in 2006, this bed is the latest addition to the group of stylish home furnishings. To me, the look is incredibly clean, sharp and minimalist, but it is also quite a conversational piece as well.

“In design, the irony is that it’s difficult to be simple enough to be good,” says Thos. Moser lead designer, David Moser. “As designers, it’s our ambition to achieve design to which ‘nothing can be added and nothing can be taken away.’ The Edo bed then may represent the apex of this exercise: minimalist to the core. Our intention was to take the hallmark cantilever of
the Edo aesthetic, and the result is of course suspension in space.”

The Edo bed features two built-in side tables for added convenience. However, should you love the bed without the flanked side tables, it can also be built without them. The Edo bed also features a sloped headboard, which is intended as a comfort strategy for reading in bed (i.e. incredibly practical). Innovative design is most definitely apparent in the Edo bed, as it appears to be floating just above the floor. It is available in standard queen and king sizes, or other sizes by special request. The queen Edo bed retails for $5,750, while the king sells at $6,250.

In addition to the Edo bed, the Edo collection features a variety of clean and simple home items to complement one another. Think a side table with wide-planked legs and contrasting detail work, a round dining table with cherry top to go with the low-back profile of the Edo dining chairs, and a lounge chair with a low profile and unique proportions. Other Thos. Moser Edo collection items include benches, bookcases, rockers, stools and more.

Unlike many furniture companies who only offer a five or ten year warranty on their products, Thos. Moser guarantees their furniture for the lifetime of the original owner. If you are not entirely satisfied with your Thos. Moser product within the first 30 days of receiving it, Thos. Moser will provide you with a refund or will rebuild the piece themselves.

  1. I like the fact that the company will rebuild the product if the customer is not satisfied. That shows the company truly values its customer relations.
