Meet Magnolia, the 5-year-old who has seasoned hairstylists blushing and the rest of the world burning photos of their self-inflicted bangs and bowl cuts from age five. The hairstylist prodigy from Tempe reached viral fame after posting a hairstyling tutorial that blew Facebook users and the media away instantly.

Hairstylist and blogger Jenny Strebe hadn’t noticed her daughter Magnolia had a knack for hairstyling until she handed her a mannequin head. “I gave her a bunch of mannequins to keep her busy and I looked over and thought ‘oh my god, can you do that again?’” Strebe grabbed her camera and started recording, then posted the impressive video on her Facebook page, “Confessions of a Hairstylist,” which already had a large following. The adorable 5-year-old’s tiny fingers twist and wrap as if she has been hairstyling for years—it is almost ridiculous to watch. Followers, including other hairstyling accounts, saw the video on Strebe’s page and quickly reposted it. The video went viral instantly, grabbing the attention of BuzzFeed, the Today Show, Cosmopolitan UK, Channel 3 AZ and more.

Strebe says Magnolia has always wanted to be a hairstylist like her mom, but this was the first time she realized that Magnolia had true talent and was serious about the profession. “I have never taught her anything. I’ve tried to and she won’t let me. She has picked up things from watching me,” says Strebe. Each of Magnolia’s hairstyles are completely original and can be found on her Instagram account @confessionsofaminihairstylist. The account has over 19,000 followers and features the gifted kiddo’s freshest styles, which include “The Curl Swoop” and “The Bun Braided.”

Magnolia has a bright future ahead of her and mom says that for now Magnolia wants to focus on hair and being a child. “She has requested a blond mannequin and she wants to keep making new hairstyles,” says Strebe.
