Tis the season for Christmas lights! So grab the family and check out some of these amazing spots that will truly light up your evening.

1. Christmas at the Fairmont

For the sixth year in a row, the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess presents Christmas at the Fairmont. Bring the family and witness the resort transform into a winter wonderland before your eyes. More than two million LED lights will surround you as you walk the resort along with holiday music. Check the hotel’s schedule because there will also be entertaining activities that you will not want to miss. These activities include appearances from holiday princess characters, a Christmas petting zoo, Desert Ice skating rink, S’moresland, Christmas carousel and more. The festival will be available until Jan. 3 and admission and parking is complimentary for hotel guests.

2. ZooLights

Zoolights is always a favorite when it comes to holiday events in Phoenix. The Phoenix Zoo welcomes you and the family to enjoy while 3.7 million lights light up the whole zoo. There are more than 700 light displays and two are two different light shows that you have to catch. These memorable shows are set to holiday music and will be great entertainment for all. Don’t forget to check out the camel ride, polar slide, zip line, stingray bay, and Santa Claus. Tickets are $10 Sunday through Thursday and $14 Friday through Saturday.

3. Glendale Glitters

Enjoy Historic Downtown Glendale as it is adorned with more than 1.5 million lights for the holiday season. Many wait for this award-winning holiday lighting event because it has become a tradition across the Valley and Arizona. Glendale Glitters lights up sixteen blocks of downtown Glendale and is the largest free holiday light display in Arizona. There will also be holiday entertainment, delicious food, hand-crafted gifts, a petting zoo, and of course Santa himself.

4. Las Noches de Luminarias at Desert Botanical Garden

Las Noches de las Luminarias at the Desert Botanical Garden is available for viewing on select evenings until Dec. 31. When you get to the Garden, you will be greeted by more than 8,000 hand-lit luminaria bags and the sound of handbells ringing and Mariachi bands singing. It will be a calming and gorgeous experience for the whole family. Tickets for adults are $25 and $10 for children. Check the calendar on their website for days that that this show is available.

5. The Westin Kierland

Venture to the Westin Kierland for a different take on holiday lights with their PaintScaping Show. The Westin walls will come alive with 3-D images and animations while festive holiday music fills the air. This jaw-dropping presentation merges the virtual world with the actual world using the hotel as their art canvas. The shows are presented nightly at 6:30, 7, 7:30, and 8 p.m. and will be available until Jan. 3. The show is free to the public and parking is also free.

6. Rawhide Snowy Christmas

Venture to the Wild West and enjoy Rawhide’s third annual Snowy Christmas. The town will be filled with holiday lights and décor and feature different holiday festivities every night. Have your kids bring their letters for Santa Claus because he will be there accepting all mail and available for photos too. As you walk through Rawhide enjoy watching the snow fall and don’t forget to check out the holiday shopping. Parking is free for this holiday celebration and will be available until Jan. 3.

7. Butterfly Winter Wonderland

From Nov. 27 to Dec. 23, Butterfly Wonderland will be transformed into a holiday display for you and the family. Not only will you be amazed by 3,000 butterflies, but also shimmering lights and ornaments as you walk through the park. There will also be a Noble Fir Christmas tree, poinsettias, statues of angels, and luminaries throughout this wonderland. You will be able to remember this event forever because keepsake photos will be available for purchase. This holiday event will be available every weekend and admission is $19.95 for adults and $12.95 for children.

8. Holiday Lights at McCormick-Stillman RailRoad Park

Hop on the train at McCormick- Stillman Park and take a magical ride through a winter wonderland. You will be amazed as you travel throughout the Railroad Park and pass by beautiful displays of holiday lights. Santa Claus will be there for photos along with an enchanting carousel. Admission is free and train rides are $4 and the carousel ride is $2. This holiday festival will be available until Dec. 23.

9. Fantasy of Lights Boat Parade

The Fantasy of Lights Boat Parade will be a great holiday outing for the family or lovely date-night for the festive couple. This parade is presented by SRP and features as many as 50 illuminated boats of different sizes.  The parade will start at 5 p.m. on Dec. 12 in Tempe Beach Park. Make sure to stay late so you can catch Santa Claus and a firework show.
