There are so many different ways and places to pick out your perfect pumpkin this year, from a farm to a train to a zoo. Which one will you choose?

Tolmachoff Farms, Glendale

In addition to letting you pick out the perfect pumpkin, Tolmachoff Farms offers an array of other fun activities for your day at the patch, from haunted corn mazes to petting zoos to train rides and more. MacDonald’s Ranch, Scottsdale

Make your pumpkin-picking experience a little more country at MacDonald’s Ranch. Learn how to pan for gold and play old western games while petting cute farm animals. Mother Nature’s Farm, Gilbert

No pumpkin is too big or too small at Mother Nature’s Farm, offering pumpkins of up to 500 pounds! The entrance fee is $10, which includes pumpkin decorating, hayride, corn maze and air bounce. Schnepf Farms, Queen Creek

If pumpkin picking just isn’t enough for you, then join Schenpf Farms for their Pumpkin & Chili Party, complete with all your favorite things about fall such as yummy food, pig races and marshmallow roasting. Apple Annie’s Orchard Farm, Willcox

Apple Annie’s doesn’t just specialize in apples, but pumpkins of all shapes and colors too. Get lost in the huge pumpkin patch and stop by the Snack Shack for lunch. The patch is open from 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. until the end of October. Pumpkin prices range from $3-$25. Go here for more info.

Crooked Sky Farms, Phoenix

Support local community-supported farming when going on your pumpkin hunt this year and select the perfect one in addition to gourds and other vegetables of your choice. The farm will be open from 1 p.m.-5:30 p.m. through Oct. 31. Each pumpkin is about $5. http://www.crookedskyfarms.com.

Vertuccio Farms, Mesa

If you’re just interested in getting a pumpkin, Vertuccio Farms makes it easy by just charging you for the pumpkin and not for the entire park. If you want to make a day of your search, though, the farm offers a seven-acre corn maze, mule rides, a giant tube slide, rope climb, race cars, and more. Through Nov. 2, visit the farms Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. or Friday- Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. or Sunday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Admission is $9. http://www.vertucciofarms.com.

Desert Botanical Garden, Phoenix

For any last-minute pumpkin pickings, the Desert Botanical Garden’s has you covered with the Great Pumpkin Festival. The festival runs from Oct. 23-26 and offers special pumpkins for every guest, crafts and activities, a hayride to the patch and live entertainment. The patch is open Thursday and Friday from 8:30 a.m.-12 p.m. or Saturday and Sunday 8:30 a.m.- 3 p.m. Prices range from $10 to $22. Check here for more info.

Grand Canyon Railway, Grand Canyon

Why take your car to the pumpkin patch, when you could take a train? The Pumpkin Train will take you to find your perfect pumpkin, as long as you’re dressed up for the occasion in your best costume. Tickets prices are about $20 for adults and $15 for children. Go here to make your reservation.

Phoenix Zoo, Phoenix

For one week only, the Phoenix Zoo will be participating in the pumpkin festivities with seven different themed pumpkin patches. You can also participate in a Click or Treat Scavenger Hunt and watch the zoo animals “chomp and stomp” their own pumpkins.
