The season is welcoming many fun holiday traditions in Arizona, and ice skating is one of them. Check out these festive rinks all around the Valley to brighten up your holidays.

5. COYOTE ICE DEN IN SCOTTSDALE

Enjoy an indoor rink that offers public skating, skating programs, and hockey programs. All public skate sessions are offered at various times throughout the week and weekend, and are great opportunities to enjoy both a healthy and exciting activity for the whole family. The Coyote Ice Den also has an "Instaskate" event Friday nights where a live DJ plays music and a laser light show is performed, which offers skaters a unique atmosphere to have fun. The Den's Family Night on Saturday evening offers kid-friendly music and a free skate rental with paid admission. 4. ARCADIA ICE DEN IN PHOENIX

This ice skating rink offers young hockey players and figure skaters a chance to learn new things and enjoy the ice. Their Youth Skills program for players ages 14 and younger is fun practice for your child's hockey ability. Group lessons are available for skaters of all levels who want to be able to enjoy the ice as well. Arcadia Ice Den has a rink made not only for public skating, but open hockey and other fun activities on the ice. For adults, the Ice House Tavern is one of Arizona's best hockey bar, located next to the arena. 3. "CHILL" ICE RINK AT W SCOTTSDALE HOTEL

Electrify the holidays at the W Scottsdale's "Chill" ice rink, at 1,500-sq.-ft. rink that sits beside the rooftop pool. Everything will be dressed in a holiday fashion, with twinkling lights, decorated private cabanas, and a variety of frosty specialty cocktails. Live music performances and DJs will also be performing on select weekend evenings. Cost is $10 per guest for one hour of skating, and includes a skate rental. "Chill" will be open until Dec. 29. 2. CITYSKATE HOLIDAY RINK AT CITYSCAPE PHOENIX

This year, the seasonal Phoenix rink will be located in the middle of Central Avenue until Jan. 5, 2014. Guests can enjoy special deals with their skate rental wristband at many CityScape locations. Guests can purchase beer, wine and hot chocolate from Chloe's Corner to enjoy in the park while watching the skaters. The rink offers an Adult Skate every Saturday night from 9-11 p.m. with DJ's, ice dancers, and more. CitySkate also has a Lunch & Skate deal every weekday from 11:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. where tickets are $6. 1. CHRISTMAS AT THE PRINCESS

Snow is in the forecast at one of Scottsdale's most prestigious resorts as the Fairmont Princess' Desert Ice Skating Rink is open to the public for the holiday season. Bring the whole family to ice skate on real ice in this 5,400-sq.-ft. rink, surrounded by beautiful desert cacti and scenery. This year, the resort is  adding snowfall to create an even more magical experience. Skate for a good cause— a portion of the proceeds benefit Phoenix Children's Hospital.
