Though Kevin Kolb has yet to see any action on the field during the month of October and November thus far, due to a significant rib injury, he's been plenty busy with important work that's going to impact the Valley in a major way.

On Nov.19, Kolb will host Celebs & Steaks, his first charity event in the Valley, which benefits his Pass it 4ward Foundation. Not only is the foundation geared toward helping children and families though opportunities and resources, its primary aspiration is to help physically challenged and severely ill children with daily support.

Last month, I spoke to Kolb about the charity, and he mentioned witnessing the drastic life changes that a family went through after the child suffered a serious neck injury. He remembered the family’s struggles of caring for the child, paying for numerous doctor visits and the stress that it ultimately put on everyone.

Taking it a step further than just feeling compelled to do something, Kolb decided to take action and make something happen. Monday's Celebs & Steaks is possibly the first of many charitable events that Kolb plans to dive into that embodies his idea of paying it forward and helping others.

Kolb won't just be taking photos and making an appearance at Celebs & Steaks. He, as well as several teammates and celebrity friends, will be grabbing aprons and acting as table hosts for guests throughout the evening. Donovan's Steakhouse has opened its doors to put on the event and will featuring four courses of signatures dishes and fine wine for guests to enjoy. There's also an element of fun and surprise, with not knowing who will be stopping at your table.

A silent auction and live auction will highlight the evening and all of the proceeds will go to the foundation. Kolb shared that Pass it 4ward's goal is to "touch the lives of more than $250,000 children by 2014."

The exclusive event is limited in space, and tickets are available for purchase for $250 or $350 for VIP tickets. And to learn more about Kolb and the foundation, visit: http://www.kevinkolb.org.
