So, the Face of Foothills contest is well underway for the search to be the next me!! I have been glancing at a ton of the applicants, and boy! They are gorgeous! The winner will be able to sign with an agency too this year, and receive personalized jewelry!! So exciting, and my final push is that submissions end June 10th.caitlin1

The other day I met with the past Face of Foothills winners, and they are amazing girls. Stephanie is expecting, and Tori is entering her Junior year now at the University of Arizona! They are wonderful girls, with such genuine and humble qualities.

I will be going to the Miss USA pageant the weekend that I am writing this, and I am very exciting to see the contenders! I will also be entering in November of this next year for the Arizona USA pageant, which I am also very excited for. It has been a whirlwind since graduating college, with moving from Tucson to Phoenix, and renting my own place with my college room mate, to starting work at the Arizona Foothills Magazine, starting LSAT prep courses, and to overall adjusting to post grad life.

I enjoy being back in my hometown, and I am very excited for what is to come as I keep growing up. I’ve met some amazing people along the way that I can look up to and embrace as mentors in every sector of my life whether it be religious, personal, work-related, or other. I embrace everyone and every experience that endures within my life as part of an overall lesson. A lot of things have happened this year as far as changes go, and all I can ever say is they happened for a reason, and I couldn’t be happier.

This experience has taught me to believe in myself, and never say anything negative about yourself or what you want because you’ll never amount to anything. It’s been a fantastic year so far, full of growth, and I love every minute of it. I can’t wait to meet the new Face of Foothills 2013 and welcome her to the sisterhood, and see where this journey may take her as well.

As always,
