The week between Christmas and New Year’s Day has traditionally been the most difficult time of the year to meet patient blood needs. Since the beginning of the month, patient blood usage has surged by six percent, while at the same time, donations have dropped an alarming six percent.

To help solve the problem, 3TV has launched a campaign with nearly 20 Valley radio stations and the Streets of New York to inspire 500 donors to give blood each day Dec. 22 to Jan. 3.
