Evergreen Development announced today that it recently purchased, and will soon break ground on Litchfield Marketplace, a 20.9-acre retail development at the northeast corner of Camelback and Litchfield Roads in Litchfield Park.

“The West Valley is full of new growth and development, and we’re pleased to be part of it,” says Laura Ortiz, Evergreen’s managing principal in the Phoenix office. “Litchfield Marketplace will offer West Valley residents even more close-to-home conveniences.”

The groundbreaking of the new retail development, which will be surrounded by more than 30,000 square feet of shopping and quick-service dining options, took place at the end of October.

The development’s anchor tenant is a Fry’s Marketplace. Larger than the typical Fry’s Food and Drug store, the Marketplace is one of the company’s signature store models. It typically offers full-service grocery, pharmacy, and health and beauty care departments, as well as fresh-food products, and general merchandise including outdoor living products, electronics, home goods and toys. The Fry’s Marketplace will occupy 124,000 square feet, and is expected to break ground in November.

Evergreen anticipates that Litchfield Marketplace will be complete by the third quarter of 2016.
