Congrats, The Country Club at DC Ranch! The Scottsdale clubhouse has won first place in Clubhouse renovation. The renovation was completed in partnership of SB Design, PHX Architectur, and Westpac Construction. The clubhouse features a return to its roots, a western ranch home accentuated by a rustic, yet casual elegance. Inspired by immaculate and spectacular city lights, the dining areas now capture the full essence of a magnificent setting.

This year’s entries for the Clubhouse of the Year competition by Golf Inc. came from states known for high-quality golf facilities, including Florida, California, South Carolina, Georgia and Virginia.  “Though international projects had great showings in past contests, this year’s best projects were from the United States,” says Jack Crittenden, Editor in Chief of Golf Inc. “Several of the entries beautifully illustrated the intersection of tradition and modernity in their designs.” The Country Club at DC Ranch was the only Arizona Club to be selected.

They judged entries based on three factors:

•          efficiency (25 percent)
•          aesthetics (25 percent)
•          overall design concept (50 percent)

Golf Inc. separated the entries into two categories: new construction and renovation. Nine projects earned scores high enough to be honored in the 2015 Clubhouse of the Year feature, including three honorable mentions. The range of designs, both interior and exterior, impressed Golf Inc.’s judges.
