A year ago, Sarah Drewer set out on a journey to fulfill a lifelong dream: live a healthier life. She joined Bauman’s Xtreme Training, where she found a fitness family to love and support her in her goals of getting in shape. From day one, Sarah was an inspiration to everyone in her gym family. She trained hard, never quit, and always had a smile on her face and a hug and kind word for everyone.

Unfortunately, Bauman’s Xtreme Training has lost a Sarah, their dear member, due to a domestic violence murder by her husband. Bauman's gym family is in shock and deeply saddened by Sarah’s death. They will be joining together and celebrate Sarah’s life in the manner that brought her so much joy in the last year.

A note from Bauman's: "On Saturday, February 14th, Bauman’s Xtreme Training will be holding a special workout class in honor of Sarah. Following the class, we will invite members of our gym family to special thoughts and prayers about our dear friend. We are inviting the public to share in this celebration for Sarah. The class will be open to anyone who would like to exercise and remember Sarah. We will be collecting a $20 donation at the door that will go to support her two children and a domestic violence association."

Arizona Foothills Magazine and Azfoothills.com are proud to say that we are actively advocating for change in our direct community. In 2015 we will launch the Azfoothills Charitable Foundation to raise awareness on the issue of domestic violence. We are saddened to report such news such as Sarah's death. However, without stories being actively shared, there will never be change. Please join us in our efforts to combat this problem.
