      CONTAIN YOURSELF! The Container Store, the nation’s originator and leading retailer of storage and organization products, will open in Glendale (Bell Rd. & 75th Ave.) on Saturday, February 7th adding around 45 jobs to the local community. The Glendale store will be the 70th store nationwide and the second location in the Phoenix area.

      As part of their commitment to each of their local communities, the Arizona Humane Society will receive 10 percent of the new store’s Grand Opening Weekend sales. The Arizona Humane Society’s mission is to improve the lives of animals, alleviate their suffering, and elevate their status in society. They safeguard, rescue, shelter, heal, adopt and advocate for animals in need, while inspiring community action and compassion on their behalf.

THE STORE:

Here are just a handful of additional highlights about The Container Store and what makes it such a special place to shop and to work:

  The 22,000 square foot store in Glendale will feature more than 10,000 multi-functional and innovative products that will solve everything from the smallest to the most intimidating organizational challenges.

  Their products will be organized in 16 signature lifestyle departments such as closet, kitchen, office, travel, gift packaging and laundry, to organize our time-and space-starved customers.

  No other retailer offers the depth and breadth of storage solutions that The Container Store does, including more than 300 food storage solutions, 750 organized office products, 50 types of laundry hampers, 400 solutions to organize a traveler, 70 styles of hangers – the list goes on!

 They couple their one-of-a-kind product collection with an extremely high level of personalized customer service. The Container Store executes a solutions-based approach to retail that is liberated by a commitment to employee development and training. Each full-time salesperson receives more than 263 hours of training (Part time employees receive 177) in their first year, compared to the retail industry average of seven to 10 hours.

  The Glendale store will open with POP!, their customer engagement program of Perfectly Organized Perks! Local customers can sign up to receive customized monthly tips, new product announcements, invitations to exclusive events and surprise perks each month.

  Customers can take advantage of The Container Store’s time-saving Go Shop! Click & Pickup Service, which allows items to be ordered online and picked up for free in the store at a time convenient to you. They'll even bring it out to their car! They also offer The Gift Registry for families and couples preparing for big events like a wedding, graduation, housewarming or baby!

HISTORY

If you’re not familiar with The Container Store, they actually created the storage and organization category of retail in 1978 when they opened their first store in Dallas. Since the inception, they have nurtured an employee-first culture coupled with a high- level of customer service and incredibly innovative products – all working together to help our customers save space and, ultimately, time. Who couldn’t use a little more of that? Their goal is to improve the quality of life of customers through the gift of organization and the company is quite excited to bring these elements to our new customers in Glendale.
