Major Jim Lane and his wife Joanne Lane will officiate the evening, with the mayor addressing the youth about the importance of their achievements and how they have effected and bettered the community.

What is a "Court of Honor?"  A Court of Honor is "a 100-year-old tradition of the largest and longest-running youth organization in the world."

A “Court of Honor” is a 100-year-old tradition of the largest and longest-running youth organization in the World: The Boy Scouts of America. BSA Troop 131 is a unique troop because it has one of the highest percentages of Eagle Scouts per member, about 15% compared to an historic national average of only 3% of young men who ever earn this very prestigious award. Eagle Scout is the highest rank in Scouting. Troop 131 is also an award-winning group of youth and one of the largest troops in the Phoenix metropolitan area.

"This is an amazing opportunity to showcase the great accomplishments of our young people," Mai De Koch Garr, advancement chair, said. "We need to increase awareness of the wonderful things they do."
