School is right around the corner and a Chandler store, KatyBug Faye Boutique, kicked off the new academic year by collecting and conating 300 pairs of denim jeans for women and children impacted by domestic violence for the back-to-school season.

KatyBug Faye Owner Lisa Looney (pictured) patnered with My Sister's Place, one of only the only domestic violence shelters in the East Valley that provides a private and comforting environment for safety and recovery.

The boutique organized a denim drive during July; customers who donated a pair of gently used jeans were given a 50 percent discount on a new brand-name pair from KatyBug Faye. More than 300 enthusiastic customers jumped at the chance to participate and the boutique was able to deliver 300 pairs of jeans in a variety of brands and sizes to My Sister's Place.
