Amy Videan Promoted to Director of Marketing for Saks Fifth Avenue Phoenix

EXTRA EXTRA!

Amy Videan has been promoted to Director of Marketing at Saks Fifth Avenue Phoenix.

Videan, who has been Director of the Fifth Avenue Club since 1997, will be replaced with Dwight Giese, who was previously the Department manager of WEAR, Contemporary Sportswear, Eveningwear and Intimate Apparel.

Both start their new positions April 4.

Only Two Weekends Left of The Arizona Renaissance Festival 2011

HEAR YE HEAR YE! There are only TWO weekends left of The Arizona Renaissance Festival season! This upcoming weekend (March 26-27) is its Middle Eastern Mirage weekend, featuring an Amateur Belly Dance Contest on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Royal Pavilion, and the following weekend (April 2 and 3) is its Final Huzzah, featuring a Fool’s Contest on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Royal Pavilion.

You don’t need a passport to travel back in time! The Arizona Renaissance Festival is a medieval amusement park, a 12-stage theater, a 30-acre circus, an arts and crafts fair, a jousting tournament and a feast -- all rolled into one non-stop, day-long family adventure! Celebrity Fight Night 2011 Raises $6.6 Million

EXTRA EXTRA!

This weekend's Celebrity Fight Night event raised an astonishing $6.6 million to benefit the Muhammad Ali Parkinson's Center at Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix.

Bob Parsons, who was given an entrepreneur award at the event, donated $1 million on the spot. Live Auction Items included:

  • Dinner at Reba McEntire's Beverly Hills Home (she sold two opportunities at $400,000 each)
  • A Dinner with Billy Crystal and Robert DeNiro (sold for $400,000)
  • Dinner with Bret Michaels (sold for $200,000)
