It’s more than just Arizona breweries and pubs that are gearing up to celebrate the 4th Annual Arizona Beer Week this month. The nation’s largest group of homebrewers is based right here in Phoenix, and the Arizona Society of Homebrewers (ASH) has a full week of tasty – and educational – events for both its members and the general public.
Enter the secret world of the brewer with a cocktail whose origins remain shrouded in mystery. The Hot Scotchy is among the rarest of drinks and sold only during Arizona Beer Week. In past years, fans have packed The Hungry Monk to get a sip of the Hot Scotchy. This year, the Arizona Society of Homebrewers (ASH) is bringing it back bigger and better. ASH’s At-Large Board Member John Randall will be preparing the wort and answering questions about the brewing process.
The Hungry Monk, 1760 W. Chandler Blvd – Chandler, AZ
$5+ per Scotchy
