In partnership with Phoenix Children’s Hospital, a dozen distinguished professional golf instructors and Arizona celebrity athletes will host a charity golf clinic for the young patients of Phoenix Children’s.
The “Tee It Up For Kids” golf clinic will be the first of its kind in Arizona to raise funds for the Hospital’s Child Life Services and Aero Digestive Clinic, which include Pulmonology, Gastroenterology, and Otolaryngology.
On Saturday, February 15th, event organizer and founder, Scott Sackett, GOLF Magazine Top 100 Teacher the past 14 years, will clear the driving range and parts of the course at McCormick Ranch in Scottsdale, from 2pm to 4pm for 50 children currently being treated at Phoenix Children’s.
World-renowned golf instructor, Stan Utley will be one of volunteer instructors. Utley was selected by his peers as the No. 1 Golf Instructor in Arizona and the No. 14 ranked instructor in the U.S. according to Golf Digest’s 2013/2014.
The rotation stations for the kids’ clinic include: putting, chipping, iron, and driving, with individualized attention for each child. A Trick Shot show will conclude the event along with an appearance by the Phoenix Suns Gorilla. The instructors hope to raise $50,000 for Phoenix Children's and 100% of all funds will benefit the Hospital.
Organizers are asking individuals and businesses to consider sponsoring a child to take part in the event at $1,000 per child. Other sponsorship package opportunities range from $500 to $5,000 with varying degrees of media and event visibility as a way to say “thank you.” Sponsors are encouraged to confirm their financial support immediately as it will guarantee key placement in signage at the event.
