This Valentine's Day weekend, treat your sweetheart to a magical story of eternal love with Ballet Arizona's first-time and largest production to date of La Bayadère, which means “The Temple Dancer.” La Bayadére is a classic love story set in a fantastical and exotic India of the past, which with elaborate costumes and vibrant scenery creates a true storybook experience. This production recounts the story of Nikiya, a temple dancer, her lover Solor, and the vengeance that keeps them apart -- at least in this life.
Ballet Arizona will give six performances of La Bayadère from February 13 to 16 at Symphony Hall in downtown Phoenix. Ticket prices start at $25 with discounts for seniors, students, military and groups. Tickets may be purchased by calling 602-381-1096 or by visiting www.balletaz.org.
