TOAST OF THE TOWN, VINTNER’S CIRCLE CELEBRATES GRAND OPENING

MAKE YOUR OWN WINE OR BEER FROM FERMENTATION TO BOTTLING TO IMBIBING

The first store of it’s kind in Arizona, Vintner’s Circle Scottsdale Winemaking Shop (Vintner’s Circle), is celebrating their official GRAND OPENING from April 25 – 28, by donating a portion of all sales to Alice Cooper’s Solid Rock Foundation. The festivities kick off on Thursday, April 25 at 5:00 p.m. with a ribbon cutting ceremony hosted by Scottsdale Mayor Jim Lane and other dignitaries followed by free wine tastings and food pairings. Vintner’s Circle allows guests to select their vintage or hops of choice and learn hands-on, from the fermentation process to bottling, how to make wine or beer. The result is their own custom-made and bottled wine or beer complete with bragging rights for their amazing new skills!

The fun begins with the selection of more than 50 choices of grapes wine grapes from all around the world. The next step is the primary fermentation process where yeast, water, and oak, if needed, are added to the juice to start the initial fermentation process. After two weeks, guests return to begin and complete secondary fermentation and two weeks later return to stabilize and clear. Approximately two weeks after stabilization and clearing, guests return bottle their own wine, cork their bottles and apply their labels provided by Vintner’s Circle or their own custom labels ($40 fee) designed jointly by Vintner’s Circle and the guest. Each step is recorded and overseen by a winemaking expert ensuring each bottle will taste as great as the first. Cost begins at $279 resulting in approximately 28 bottles of custom-made sauvignon blanc, merlot, verdicchio or any other of the 47 varietal selections chosen.

“We create a memorable experience and want to take the mystique and snobbishness out of making wine. We have hosted wedding parties, first-dates, family reunions, corporate groups or just folks who love wine and want to enjoy the wine lifestyle and experience,” said Al Pino, owner of Vintner’s Circle Scottsdale Winemaking Shop. “We have just added beer making because sometimes in the summer, especially in Arizona, only a cold beer will hit the spot!”

The beer making process is similar to winemaking as guests select their hops of choice to make blonde, stout, red or white beer and begin the step-by step process which is completed in just two and half weeks. Beer making classes are just $ 149 and result in approximately 60 bottles of beer or roughly two and half cases of beer.

Vintner’s Circle is a franchise that started in 2006. They host wine education and pairings classes (perfect for business mixers), chocolate and wine pairings, sangria making classes and provide retail products for at-home wine and beer makers.

Vintner’s Circle is located at 2765 N Scottsdale Rd, Ste. 109. For more information call, 480-696-7004 or visit them at www.vintnerscircle.com.
