Largest Beagle Event in Arizona
BeagleFest 2013 will be held on Sunday, March 10th, at the Ruben Romero Corporate Ramada at Kiwanis Park in Tempe from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.
BeagleFest is the largest gathering of Beagles in Arizona and helps raise awareness of the breed and the rescue organization. This year’s BeagleFest will feature pet services, a DJ, vendors, contests, raffles and a silent auction. A parade featuring all the Arizona Beagle Rescue (AZBR) alumni of rescued Beagles will also be held.
Socialized beagles (and honorary beagles) on leashesare invited to attend (along with their people). Admission is $5 per person; dogs and kids under 10 are FREE. All proceeds from this event go directly to AZBR to help rescue beagles from the kill list in the County pounds.
There will be a number of adoptable Beagles at the event that are hoping to find their forever homes. All Beagles adopted through Arizona Beagle Rescue are spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccinations and micro chipped prior to adoption. AZBR is kicking off BeagleFest with a reduced adoption fee for dogs that are 9 years old and older. A special $50 adoption fee for senior dogs is available during March and April.
AZBR is also seeking volunteers to help staff this event. For more information about this event go to: http://www.azbeaglerescue.com/Beaglefest_2013.html.
